Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar launched the Platform of Platforms (POP) under the National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) at the State Agriculture and Horticulture Ministers’ Conference in Bengaluru on July 14, 2022. Bijak along with 40 other private entities providing trading, transportation, logistics, warehousing, assessing, packaging, weather forecast and fintech services in mandi trade are now integrated with National Agriculture Market (eNAM) under POP. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the team at National Agriculture Market eNAM for providing Bijak an opportunity to contribute to the transformation of agri-business in India. We hope that with this integration, Bijak will empower many more agricultural traders and farmers in the times to come.

Due to POP, farmers will be able to sell their produce outside the state borders. POP will help in increasing the digital access of farmers and mandi traders to many markets, buyers and service providers. They will also get the right price for their products due to better price discovery. This will bring transparency in agri trade.
Under this venture, more than 1.73 crore farmers, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), traders, commission agents and other stakeholders registered with the eNAM platform can avail the services provided by these private enterprises.
With the integration of entities like Bijak through eNAM (Bijak Integrates with eNAM), farmers and mandi suppliers will be able to discover traders who pay the right price for their commodities. At the same time, they will be able to avail end-to-end services for agri trade. This is the main objective of POP.
On e-NAM, which was launched in April 2016, 1,000 mandis across 22 states and union territories have been integrated into the platform. However, at present only 586 mandis are providing online trading services to farmers and mandi traders. The facility given to farmers to sell their produce in other states from this platform has not picked up pace. At present, 1.73 crore farmers, 2100 FPOs, and around 1 lakh commission agents are registered with National Agriculture Market eNAM.
